My Morning Detox Smoothie
I love a quick, no clean up, healthy breakfast. I discovered the Tone It Up organic protein powder several weeks ago and I’m hooked. I’ve been using the protein vanilla powder in my morning smoothies and love them so much. I also really like being able to get a healthy, low calorie breakfast without having to spend a bunch of time cooking and cleaning up before my day starts.
I typically don’t overdo it on the fruit and stick to a fat free milk to keep calories down. I’ve tried swapping the milk for almond milk as the Tone It Up detox program incorporates it a lot in their smoothies but I just do not like the taste so I’m sticking to what works for me.
Here’s what I’ve been throwing in my morning detox smoothie.
Tone It Up Vanilla protein powder (1 scoop)
Vital Proteins collagen peptides (1 scoop)
Fat free milk (1 cup)
Fresh spinach (1 and a half handfuls)
Frozen mango chunks (1 small handful)
Sprouted chia and flax seed powder (1 spoon)
Another thing I love about this protein powder is it actually holds me through the morning and to lunch without feeling hungry mid-morning like so many smoothies do.
