A Jason Wu + Chanel Moment

When putting an outfit together, I usually go with a more minimalistic approach pairing a pant with a solid blouse or light beige sweater but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a printed top or mixing in statement-making accessories just as much. I don't have many "rules" when it comes to putting together outfits so I try to think outside of the box to really showcase a sense of style of my own.

There are so many fun, trendy, chic ways to put an outfit together using a busy print. For a day look, I like to keep it fun and vibrant by adding accessories that are just as lively as the print itself. A pop of color and statement making accessories are my favorite way to make a look my own, and there is no other place like The Vintage Contessa for finding those perfectly unique pieces. They have more vintage Chanel jewelry and Hermes bracelets than I know what to do with, which means I always leave happy with new baubles in tow. No reason needed for wearing the Chanel clip ons ... they're just fabulous and complete just about any look.

I love the exposed shoulder on this Jason Wu printed blouse – it's a great summer to fall transitional piece because of the open shoulder, flow silhouette, vibrant print, and long sleeves. To take this top from day to night, I'll opt for a pair of leather shorts, drop earrings, and black heels like the Alexandre Birman Clarita ankle tie sandals

Mixing metals. Do or don't? I say "do" because like I said there are no rules, and there is just no reason that Chanel and Hermes can't be friends.
